Busy Little Bee

I still haven't gotten around to finishing the "Home is where the *nintendo* is", but I have finished a few other projects.

Legend of Zelda coasters:

These two are for sale in my etsy shop. Blinky (from Pac-Man) is made out of 1/2 inch square "pixels" and is glued on black 8.5x11 cardstock. The Space Invader is made out of 1 inch square "pixels" and is glued on white 12x12 cardstock.

"The Code" cross-stitch: Looking at it now, I should have moved "start" a little further away from the "B A". Eh. Too late now. :)

As per usual, there ar more, but at least this time I have a valid reason for not posting pictures...yet. They're gifts. Once I give them out, I'll upload the photos.

"C" Is For "Crafty"

I don't know how I've done it, but I finally found the time between baking cookie sheets to upload some photos of the crafting I've been doing. Here they are for your enjoyment!

The first batch of pictures is of what I've been baking today. Two batches of fudge and four batches of cookies. There are a dozen cookies in each of the tins. I've still got to make two more batches of fudge and one batch of homemade chocolate covered marshmallows. And clean the kitchen...I've got to clean the kitchen. :)

I recently got into making coasters with Perler beads, here is what I've made so far:

This is a blanket I made for Ricky's previous boss at WCTV. He and his wife are expecting a baby in March.

This is a blanket I made for my friend Sidney. She and her husband expect their first baby in February. Her name is going to be Abby, but her nickname from me is "Guidette", so that's why it says that name.

Just Call Me "Martha"

I haven't quite finished my cross-stitch that I was working on last week. But I have been doing a lot of other things. I've been baking like crazy, and I won't be stopping any time soon.

Last night I made a batch of fudge, today the twins and I are going to my mom's house to bake two red velvet cakes. This week I've planned on making homemade chocolate covered marshmallows, three more batches of fudge, chocolate and vanilla covered pretzels, and chocolate chip cookies.

Recently, I've started getting into making things with Perler beads. They make really good coasters. Hopefully I'll upload the pictures soon.

Well, I've got to head to Mom's house now.

Anniversary Present

December 3rd was mine and Ricky's 3rd anniversary. Last year he made me a custom Jerry Orbach action figure, so this year I figured that I would create him something home-made as well. I've found a really cool geekery blog at www.spritestitch.com and have been thiefing patterns from them for a while. Here's what I made him:

It was supposed to be stitched on black material, but Hobby Lobby didn't have any when I went to pick it up...so I had to stitch the entire black area. I think it would have turned out better if I had the black fabric, but I'm still happy with it. It's got personality, as I like to say. :)

I'm in the process of making another cross-stitch, and will post pictures when I get it all finished. Hopefully that will be later in the day.

Oh, and Emma is officially a walker now. She walks everywhere!! She still falls every once in a while, but she's up and moving far longer than she's on the ground. Olivia is walking really good holding onto two hands, and sometimes one hand, but she hasn't tried to walk by herself more than one step. I'm sure once she sees Emma cruising along that it won't be long after. On the bright side, right now it's only one kid I have to run around after, not two like it will be soon. Thank Heaven for small miracles! LoL!

My First Pillow

Since money is a little tight this year, I figured that I would make a lot of the gifts for Christmas. The first gift I made was a pair of pajama pants for my sister-in-law, but I forgot to take a picture of them before I wrapped them, so I'll have to update with a picture later. The second item I have made so far this year is a Winnie the Pooh pillow for a friend of mine who is a little over 8 weeks pregnant with her first child. She's not sure what she's having, but they decided to do the nursery in the vintage Winnie the Pooh. Here's the pillow:

The front:
The back:And yes, I made the ruffle myself. That's the part that took for-ev-er!!
